We all love a good short film from time to time right? Well this one with disabled actress Angel is a mustsee.
The film, called Genetic Lottery, recently won awards for best actress, director, writer, audience choice and runner-up. So to say it’s a mustsee is the understatement of the century.
The film is about a young girl who gets to make a major decision about her disability, and life in general. With a miracle cure she will be able to fix anything and everything about herself she doesn’t like. But is that really a fair choice to make? Just check out the short film:
It’s an interesting topic that this movie plays with. Changing your DNA, and changing yourself, becoming the perfect person. There’s a lot going on in the science industry right now that will make becoming perfect easier and easier. But will that really make us happy?
It scares me sometimes, this need for perfection. I don’t think we will ever be perfect. I also think that this struggle will ultimately make people less happy then they are WITH all their imperfections. What about you? What would you do given the choice?
